MIA
Mood:  crushed out
Well, well...I missed a few day's worth of entries. Not because I have been lazing around, no sir, but because - for one, I was sick...and B (ha ha , just kidding) and two, I've been busy. I managed to submit quite a few queries, write a few pages in my book, and get halfway through the sit com I am going to pitch at the end of the month. Tired now...going to bed.

Happy Friday
Mood:  energetic
Isn't this nice? Sun, sand, drink, a good book... But, that's not where I'm at today! Nope, still at home, in the Canadian praries. Working... I've got three queries to go out and sent another by email. Also completed three pages in my novel. This afternoon, I may get back at it... Not sure. It's a nice day and I might just take the afternoon off!

As Good As It Gets
Mood:  celebratory
Topic: Working at home
Today: Completed 5 pages on novel - officially 1/3 completed first draft. Completed 5th round of editing on screenplay. Went shopping...cleaned the house...talked to a friend...went online and read all the postings on Zoetrope (screenwriting), researched Australia, researched the decision makers who will be attending the pitchfest at the end of April. It's in LA and I am pumped! I was thinking of taking tomorrow off, but I don't know. I am really a workaholic, so the idea of doing nothing actually bothers me (unless I am on an island far, far away). We'll see.

White Swans of Fal - available at Amazon.com
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: Shameless self promotion
Amazon link to my book Have you ever listened to the song of a white swan? The ancient Celts believed that the inhabitants of the Otherworld, wishing to revisit their earthly counterparts, often took the form of the great white bird. If we could only understand their haunting cries, perhaps we could realize the secrets of this life, and the next. The White Swans of Fal is a book of new beginnings, a renewal of the soul. Elizabeth Harrowsmith and William De Logos are forever bound by a force they do not fully understand. After their untimely deaths in the 15th century, they are reawakened in 17th century Ireland as Gillian, the daughter of English nobility, and Fionn, an Irish peasant. William and Elizabeth are now confronted with the impossible: reuniting their flesh beings and teaching them the meaning of life.

Hello and welcome! This is me, Jackie Ashton. And this blog is dedicated to writing - both the creative aspects of writing and the business side of things. Today's been a good day so far. I've completed chapter 8 in my novel in progress and will be heading off to the post office soon. I've got a few query letters to post for my second novel, The Lexis Reality and for the screenplay I just completed, Soul Survivor. Wish me luck!
